We keep data handling minimal across all four CAT applications. This page summarizes what each tool stores and how you can have your information removed. For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
What we store
- CAT Prints: the order's first and last name, email, and order details (no phone number); uploaded files, automatically deleted about 14 days after the order is completed; and, for student-worker accounts, a username and a securely hashed password. Staff Google identity is held only in the sign-in session, not stored.
- CAT Board: the submitted photos and videos (location and device metadata stripped on arrival), a first name and last initial for on-screen attribution, and the reviewing staff member's name and email. A student's email is stored once on the roster, not on each photo.
- CAT Print Farm: the name, email, and class period entered on the form; the submitted print file (dispatched to the printer under a non-identifying job number); the job's status; and the timelapse media. A job's identifying details are removed about 30 days after the print finishes.
- CAT Jukebox: a student username and securely hashed password; for a matched student, only an opaque Google identifier and a missing-assignment count (no name); a first name and last initial only temporarily for an unmatched student pending teacher reconciliation. No grades, emails, roster, or district student-ID numbers; the teacher's authorization is encrypted at rest.
How to request deletion
Email steven.swanson@wuhsd.org from any account, or have a parent or guardian email on a student's behalf. Tell us which app and which account or submission, and we will delete the requested data. We will confirm when it is done.
Remove an app's Google access yourself
Any staff member or teacher who signed in with Google can revoke an app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For CAT Jukebox, a teacher who disconnects Google Classroom from within the app revokes our access and deletes the stored authorization immediately.
Automatic removal
Some data is removed without a request: CAT Jukebox overwrites each per-student record on every sync and purges a student on deletion, Classroom disconnect, or disenrollment; CAT Print Farm deletes print files about 7 days after a successful print (about 30 days for a failed one) and removes a job's identifying details about 30 days after it finishes; CAT Board removes photos and videos after about 90 days and purges a student's records after they graduate; and CAT Prints deletes uploaded design files about 14 days after an order is completed. Student records and logins are removed when a student is no longer enrolled in the program.
