These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the web applications operated by the Cardinal Academy of Technology ("CAT," "we," "us," or "our") at Whittier High School: CAT Prints (prints.whscat.com), CAT Board (catboard.whscat.com), CAT Print Farm (printfarm.whscat.com), and CAT Jukebox (jukebox.whscat.com). By using any of these tools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tools.
1. Who may use these tools
These are internal educational tools provided for CAT students and authorized staff at Whittier High School. Access is granted at the discretion of the academy and may be limited, suspended, or removed at any time. Use of the tools is also subject to the policies of Whittier High School and the Whittier Union High School District, including any student or staff acceptable-use and technology policies.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the tools only for their intended classroom purposes. You will not:
- attempt to access another person's account, data, or content;
- disrupt, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the tools or the systems they run on;
- submit content that is unlawful, harassing, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate for a school setting;
- submit files or print jobs you do not have the right to use; or
- use the tools to violate any school, district, state, or federal rule or law.
3. Accounts and sign-in
Staff and teachers sign in with their Google account; designated students sign in with a username and password issued within an app. Keep your credentials private and do not share them. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Report any suspected misuse to the contact below.
4. Content you submit
Some tools accept content you provide, such as photos emailed to CAT Board or files submitted to CAT Print Farm. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it. By submitting a photo to CAT Board, you permit the academy to display it on in-classroom signage. We may review, decline, or remove any submitted content at any time, for any reason, and we are not obligated to display or print anything.
5. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. Please review it to understand what each tool collects and why.
6. Availability and "as is"
These tools are provided free of charge for educational use, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. They run on academy-operated equipment and may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed at any time. We do not guarantee that a print will succeed, that a song will play, that a photo will be displayed, or that any data will be preserved. Keep your own copies of anything important.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Cardinal Academy of Technology, Whittier High School, and the Whittier Union High School District are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of these tools, including lost files, failed prints, lost data, or unavailability. Nothing in these Terms limits any right that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the tools after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
